Our Story
Have you ever been so unhappy in your career and had no idea what you really wanted to do for a living? That was me in 2002! Hi, I'm Robin Hackney, owner of Simply Fitness KC and host of the Spandex & Wine Podcast, and over 23 years ago I felt stuck in a life I did not want. We had 2 deaths in the family that year and I knew it was time to do something I loved and that didn't feel like work. At the time, I was working out with a few friends and found that I was planning most of the workouts. Those workouts were the answer and my fitness passion began!
Starting with earning a certification in personal training then on to yoga, mat Pilates, and water aerobics, my business took off. After years of working for other companies and running all over town to teach classes, Simply Fitness was born.
Simply Fitness is just as the name implies. We are a community of people simply looking to become healthier & happier through exercise and balanced nutrition. You'll receive support from our instructors but also from friendly faces you'll see in class. Whether you are joining us for an in-person class, virtual sessions, a workshop or health coaching, you will be a part of this small town feel community all aiming to live a healthier lifestyle.
